Born in the heart of the delta, Meredith McGregor was raised in Indianola, Mississippi. She earned her Master of Fine Arts degree in Design from Louisiana Tech University in 2015. After a profound personal loss and surviving a turbulent marriage marked by addiction and instability, she found solace in painting and remembering. Keeping her hands busy helped her process haunting memories that were difficult to accept, while also treasuring the bright, golden ones from better times. Her work is rooted in emotion and intuition, drawn to the fragmented nature of memory and how it shifts, softens, and reshapes over time. Working in oils, she explores depth and complexity of color, creating pieces that carry a dreamlike, ethereal quality—familiar, yet just out of reach.
