Jackie Ellens paints expressive abstracts, landscapes, and images inspired by her travels and life in Mississippi. She often describes her abstract works as an inner view and her landscapes as an outer view of her world.
Jackie graduated from the University of Michigan with a Master of Fine Arts, majoring in fine art with a minor in art history. After graduation, she exhibited her prints, paintings, and fabric sculptures throughout the region before moving to Manhattan to work with an advertising agency. Jackie now lives in the Jackson metro area, where she has resided for over 30 years. During this time, she has worked for the local, National Broadcasting Company affiliate and completed her Master of Business Administration at Mississippi College in Clinton, Mississippi.
