Lexington artist Dick Temple was born in Moline, Illinois in 1922. He is a former Air Force man who flew the "Hump" in China and returned to Mississippi after the war. He graduated Ole Miss in 1949. His interest in art started after his retirement with a sketch on the beach. His wife bought him a sketch book and he has since studied with many local artists including Ann Barron and John Gaddis. Dick is past President of the Mississippi Watercolor Society and a former member of the Gaddis Group of Artists. |
