Elizabeth Johnson, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, spent her early childhood in China where her father served as a medical missionary. She is a graduate of Central High School, Jackson, attended Agnes Scott College and graduated from Rhodes College with a BA degree in history. At an early age she studied art with Marie Hull of Jackson and in the Jackson schools. She later studied with Nadine Parker at the Memphis Academy of Arts, with Rebecca Hendrick and others at the Mississippi Museum of Art School and has attended many painting workshops. |
