Artist statement:

paint because I love the "doing of it." Seldom do I look at a blank watercolor sheet as a canvas without experiencing a genuine excitement. There are so many ways to represent subject matter and I derive great pleasure from working in abstractions as well as more traditional ways. Color is usually the driving force behind my paintings. If the color is right-all is well. Also, I'm more concerned about what I see appearing on the paper than I an with how the subject really looks.
