Cissy Prewitt

Artist's Bio
Rarely I begin a painting with something in mind. I work in layers of paint, creating luminous color and texture. The outcome is often unpredictable and is always a learning process.

My abstract paintings are statements evolving from personal experiences in my life.  By not being bound by any realistic representations, I can communicate my feelings, gratitude, faith, and past through my work. They often give a glimpse into my life, a reflection of myself.

A large amount of the proceeds from the sale of my paintings help fund my work in fighting against child sex trafficking in Mississippi and Cambodia. The fight against this crime has become my passion.
