“Working closely with other artists on a daily basis has helped me to consider how to think about the process of creating original artwork. I am looking forward to broadening my focus and ideas for paintings as I progress as an artist.”
Truly an emerging talent of note, Ann Seale is committed to discovering a unique artistic voice that goes well beyond the decorative. Her most recent body of work is an energetic blend of paint and drawing that displays both gusto and discipline.
She began studying watercolor in high school, but soon she was voraciously exploring a wide variety of other painting mediums. Over the past several years, her focus has been in working with the rich fluidity of oils.
To advance her knowledge, she received private instruction in the use of chiaroscuro. This exposure to working with other artists has fueled her thought processes about the making of her own art. Her latest body of work focuses on the figure, dancers and nudes, and have become prized for their beauty and femininity.
Ann is a native of Jackson, MS, a graduate of Jackson Academy and the University of Mississippi where she received a BFA and an MA in Art Education.
